The scent of cherry blossoms will fill the air during the fourth annual Huntington Beach Cherry Blossom Festival on Sunday at the city's Central Park.
The gathering, presented by the Sister City Assn. of Huntington Beach, is expected to attract about 5,000 people to celebrate Japanese culture with food, performances, exhibits, crafts and games. Admission is free.
The festival coincides with the blooming of the cherry tree grove in Central Park and is intended to support the association's student exchange program with Huntington Beach sister city Anjo, Japan.
Festivities will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Park is at 7111 Talbert Ave.
