Artwalk makes Balboa Island a gallery for a day

Artists and art lovers had their day in the sun on Sunday, naturally, as the 22nd annual Balboa Island Artwalk welcomed about 100 artists to Newport Beach to showcase their paintings, photographs, blown glass, sculptures and fine jewelry.

The all-day event covered about a mile stretch of the island along South Bayfront.
