Woman taken to hospital after house fire in Costa Mesa
A woman was taken to a hospital Tuesday afternoon after a house fire in Westside Costa Mesa.
The fire was reported around 2:15 p.m. at a single-story residence in the 700 block of Center Street, fire Capt. Chris Coates said.
Firefighters knocked down the blaze within about 20 minutes, he said.
A woman in her 50s who was in the house at the time of the fire was taken to a hospital for evaluation. Her condition was unknown, according to Coates.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
