Sex offender pleads guilty and gets 2 years in prison for exposing himself at H.B. bookstore
A registered sex offender pleaded guilty and was sentenced Tuesday to two years in state prison for masturbating in the children’s section at a Huntington Beach bookstore.
Bradley Meenahan, 51, a transient, pleaded guilty to one count of felony indecent exposure with priors and one count of misdemeanor lewd conduct in a public place, according to Orange County Superior Court records.
According to police, witnesses saw Meenahan expose himself Feb. 23 in the Barnes & Noble store at the Bella Terra mall.
Police used witnesses’ statements and security camera footage to find Meenahan two days later at a residence in Dana Point, where he was arrested.
Police said Meenahan is a registered sex offender with several felony convictions who had been living in a van near Venice Beach.
