Suspect in gas station robbery sought in Seal Beach

Seal Beach police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man suspected of robbing a Mobil gas station Saturday night.

Officers responded to the station at 12240 Seal Beach Blvd. shortly after 9 p.m. after receiving a report of a robbery.

According to police, a man entered, brandished a firearm and demanded that the clerk hand over an undisclosed amount of cash from the register. The employee complied and the robber fled, police said.

A security camera in the gas station captured photos of the man, who was described as in his 30s and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses, orange gloves and a white surgical mask over his face.
