Kids and others got in the Fourth of July spirit in Newport Beach on Tuesday as they decked out their bikes in Independence Day regalia for the 4th of July is for Families Newport Peninsula Bike Parade near 36th Street and Balboa Boulevard.

The parade was followed by a community celebration at nearby Channel Place Park with carnival games, slides, bounce houses, arts and crafts and food.
