Part of Huntington Harbour closed to swimmers after 2,000-gallon sewage spill

Part of Huntington Harbour was closed to swimmers and divers after a roughly 2,000-gallon sewage spill, according to the Orange County Health Care Agency.

The agency closed the water between Sunset Aquatic Marina and Portofino Cove Marina on Saturday. A blockage in a private sewer line in Cypress caused the spill, the agency said.

The area will remain closed until the results of follow-up water quality tests meet acceptable standards, the agency said.
