17th annual Pilot Cup youth soccer tournament starts Tuesday
The 17th annual Daily Pilot Cup, the huge youth soccer tournament in Costa Mesa that features 210 teams, will take place Tuesday through June 5.
Boys and girls in Bronze, Silver and Gold Divisions, third through sixth-graders, will be competing to reach Championship Sunday and capture a trophy for their schools.
The community soccer tournament includes club players, AYSO competitors and rookies to the game. The tournament is unique in that the young footballers are also classmates, playing for their schools in the Newport-Mesa area.
