MOORPARK – Jeff Zoradani doubled in the game’s only run in the sixth to propel the visiting Rustlers in the nonconference game Thursday.

Justin Marquez was two for four and Troy Bethel allowed three hits in eight innings to earn the win and improve to 2-2.

Ryan Lether worked a perfect ninth for his first save.

Golden West is 16-17.

Moorpark is 17-15.

On Wednesday, Golden West lost at Chaffey, 5-2, though Jeremiah Vison and Louie Canjura had two hits apiece.

Santa Barbara 1, Orange Coast 0

SANTA BARBARA – Luke Hussung was two for three with a stolen base to lead the visiting Pirates in the nonconference game Thursday.

J.T. Navarro was two for four for OCC (25-7).

Santa Barbara is 20-13.

UC Santa Barbara 11, UC Irvine 3

SANTA BARBARA – Keston Hiura was two for four and scored twice, while Alex Guenette drove in two runs for the visiting Anteaters in the Big West Conference game Thursday.

Cole Kreuter and Evan Cassolato had two hits apiece for UCI (12-18, 1-3 in conference), which has lost seven straight games and 13 of its last 14.

Doubleheader

Host Vanguard University swept Saint Katherine College with wins of 11-1 and 7-2 in nonconference play on Wednesday.

Vanguard is 41-9.
