Former UC Irvine standout Mamadou Ndiaye begins NBA Summer League play with the Golden State Warriors Saturday against the San Antonio Spurs at 7:30 p.m. at UNLV.

The game will be televised on ESPN2.

The Warriors face the Los Angeles Lakers Monday at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN and the Philadelphia 76ers Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. That game will be live-streamed on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app.

Following the three preliminary-round games, the NBA Summer League features a tournament-style schedule that will culminate in the crowning of a champion on July 18.

Each team is guaranteed to play at least five games, with the two teams that reach the championship game playing as many as eight contests.

Ndiaye, a 7-foot-6 center who played three seasons at UCI, is one of 16 players on the Golden State summer league roster. He signed with the summer league team after being bypassed in the NBA Draft in June.

He averaged 12.1 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.4 blocked shots last season for the Anteaters, who won a school-record 28 games.

Ndiaye was named first-team All-Big West Conference and to the NABC All-District 9 second team after his final collegiate season. He was also selected the Big West’s Best Defensive Player for the second time in three years.

Ndiaye ranks No. 1 in UCI history with 218 career blocked shots, which is third in the Big West record book. His 554 career rebounds rank No. 18 all-time at UCI and he shot 67.6 percent from the field in his career.

Ndiaye helped lead the team to the postseason each of his three seasons, including the program’s first appearance in the NCAA Division I Tournament in 2015.

ESPN will present all 67 games from Las Vegas across ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, ESPNU and WatchESPN. In total, ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU will broadcast 25 games, including all four quarterfinal games, both semifinal games and the championship game.

Fans can also log on to ESPN3, where all 67 games will be live-streamed. NBA TV will also present 30 summer league games.

Additionally, all of Golden State’s summer league games can be heard on an audio-only stream on warriors.com and on the Warriors Mobile App.

The Warriors’ summer league squad is coached by Golden State assistant coach Jarron Collins.
