Ex-Vanguard standout Rojas a Cal League All-Star

Former Vanguard University baseball All-American Jose Rojas represented the South in the California League All-Star Game on Tuesday in Visalia.

Rojas, the Golden State Athletic Conference Player of the Year as a senior shortstop for the Lions in 2016, went one for two in the game, won by the North 5-3.

Through Thursday, Rojas, now playing third base for the San Bernardino-based Inland Empire 66ers, the Single-A affiliate of the Angels, was batting .289 with four home runs, 28 RBIs and four stolen bases. He had 11 doubles and three triples in 228 at-bats.
