Extreme ping pong on display in Huntington Beach

Amateur and professional table tennis players battled it out in Huntington Beach on Saturday for Pacific City's inaugural ping pong tournament.

Fifteen ping pong tables were set up throughout the center for the event, presented by Pongstarz, an international ping pong events company.

Outside the Tommy Bahama store, participants played against a ping pong robot that shot and returned balls.

Prizes during the tournament ranged from $25 cash to a Cornilleau ping pong table worth $1,000.
