Incarnation student wins accolades in L.A. County Science and Engineering Fair

Felimon Charles Legaspi won first place in the engineering applications category during the Los Angeles County Science and Engineering Fair held last month in Pasadena.

A seventh-grader at Incarnation Parish School, Felimon’s project explored bridge safety and was titled: “To Bridge or Not to Bridge? Truss, Arch, Beam or Suspension? Strength, Structural Efficiency and Seismic Safety of Bridges.”

Felimon also won an honorable mention from the Professional Engineers in California Government.

His first-place win at the county competition secured his eligibility to compete at the California State Science Fair later this month at the California Science Center.
