News-Press Pet of the Day: Howard

Howard is a 4-year-old, neutered male, German shepherd. This lovable, 85-pound giant is friendly with people and kids.

Volunteers report he’s affectionate, walks well on leash and is well-behaved. He’s been quite a hit when out with our mobile unit.

Howard excelled in Shelter School, earning a Blue Ribbon for his mastery of the “sit,” “down” and “stay” commands. He even knows “shake.”

Come meet this smart cookie today. Howard is already neutered and up-to-date on vaccines, so he is ready to go home with you today.

As a Blue Ribbon dog, Howard’s adoption fee is $100. The regular adoption fee for dogs is $125, which includes the spay or neuter surgery, microchip and vaccinations.

New adopters will receive a complimentary health-and-wellness exam from VCA Animal Hospitals, as well as a goody bag filled with information about how to care for a pet.
