A 46-year-old Burbank man has been accused of groping two women shopping at the 99 Cents Only store in Glendale, police said.

Police are urging additional victims to come forward after the man, identified as Robert Yaghnazari, reportedly told police he’d been groping women for more than a year, starting after his divorce, said Glendale Police Sgt. Robert William.

Earlier this month, police were called to the bargain store, located on the 6400 block of San Fernando Road, where the man had fled after reportedly groping two women’s buttocks. One of the victims confronted him and called the police.

After reviewing surveillance footage, store employees recognized the man as a regular customer and were asked to call police when he returned.

When Yaghnazari came back to the store a week later, police arrested him on suspicion of sexual battery. He was released after posting $20,000 bail.

Last February, Yaghnazari was accused of groping a woman at Brand Park, William said.

He pleaded no contest the following month to one count of battery and was sentenced to 36 months of summary probation, according to Los Angeles County Superior Court records.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Glendale police at (818) 548-4911.
