Briefs: Ceremony held for Food for Thought Pantry

Share

A dedication ceremony was held on Tuesday for the new Food for Thought Pantry at Glendale Community College in the San Rafael Plaza.

The pantry will supply food and hygiene items to students in need. Donations and volunteers are needed for the pantry to be a success, according to college officials.

The new pantry is the result of work by the Glendale Community College Food Pantry Task Force, which was formed this past July to gauge the food needs among students at the college, increase awareness of hunger and poverty issues among the school’s community and provide information about food and hygiene supplies to students in need, college officials said.
