Those campuses are Glendale and Hoover high schools as well as Roosevelt, Toll and Wilson middle schools.

Free meals will be offered weekdays from Monday through July 28 at three other sites — Glendale Central Library, Maple Park and Pacific Park.

Menu items include chicken, grilled-cheese sandwiches, bean or cheese burritos, cheeseburgers, carrots, celery, strawberries and fruit cups.

The Seamless Summer Feeding Option is part of the National School Lunch program and aims to provide free meals to children and teens who live in low-income areas.

The only requirement is that those who participate, eat the meals on site, said Robert McEntire, chief business and financial officer for Glendale Unified.

“We’d love their company, and for anyone in need of a good, nutritious meal, to come join us,” he said.
