Water district to hold workshops

Share

The Crescenta Valley Water District will hold the first of three public workshops regarding an upcoming water and wastewater rate study at 6 p.m. next Wednesday in the district’s administrative office, 2700 Foothill Blvd.

Representatives from the consultant that will conduct the study, Raftelis Financial Consultants Inc., will present an overview of the rate study objectives, covering topics such as long-term financial stability of the district; equity for all residential ratepayers; how revenues are affected by water conservation; and economic impact on the community.

District officials said this is the public’s opportunity to provide input about the district’s rate structures for both water and wastewater prior to the consultant beginning the study. Residents who cannot attend, but would like to submit comments, should provide them to the district by 4 p.m. next Wednesday. Comments may be mailed, dropped off at the main office or sent to rates@cvwd.com.

The presentation materials for the workshop will be posted on the district’s website, www.cvwd.com, by Monday, according to district officials.
