A note to our readers about digital access

Share

Times Community News, which publishes seven community newspapers delivered with the Los Angeles Times, has started charging for access to its digital content.

Subscriptions are now required for online access to the Burbank Leader, Coastline Pilot, Daily Pilot, Glendale News-Press, Huntington Beach Independent, La Canada Valley Sun and Weekend. The newspapers each have their own pages on latimes.com.

A subscription to the print, digital editions or eNewspapers of The Times grants readers online access to all seven community titles.

Readers can sample five free stories a month before being prompted to subscribe. Digital subscriptions start at $16 for 16 weeks (that special offer expires March 31).

Print subscribers get unfettered access to latimes.com and the community papers. Sunday-only print delivery begins at $1.99 — a price that includes seven days of unlimited digital access. Print subscriptions also include the printed editions of the community newspapers.

The Times’ community newspapers are owned by Tribune Publishing Co., which includes The Times, the San Diego Union Tribune, the Chicago Tribune and other publications nationwide. Tribune has placed all of its titles behind metered paywalls.

The seven community titles may be found online at:

Burbank Leader

Coastline Pilot

Daily Pilot

Glendale News-Press

Huntington Beach Independent

La Canada Valley Sun

Weekend

Readers may also call (800) LATIMES to subscribe.
