Letter: Cross-Country meet was an enjoyable experience

Congratulations to Crescenta Valley Coach Mark Evans and all the supporters of the Oct. 3 Kenny Staub Invitational Cross- Country meet. The event went off without a hitch from this spectator’s perspective. It was a glorious morning to watch some of the best high school long distance runners that California has to offer race throughout Crescenta Valley Park.

Many of the local schools were well represented and it was a pleasure to witness the determination, sportsmanship and athleticism of these hard working athletes. My wife and I look forward to taking our three children again to next year and I would encourage everyone in the area to try and attend. It is a wonderful atmosphere and joy to experience.
