Letter: Many speed bumps are unnecessary

Share

I greatly object to the thoughts of letter writer Mark Walcoff about bumps. What a total nuisance. Not only that, some are placed where they are not needed. For instance, on Stocker Street just a few yards short of the stop sign at Maryland Avenue. Or on Jackson Street, between Stocker and Glenoaks Boulevard. That stretch of street is so narrow, you just have to drive slowly anyway.

Even worse, bumps are a safety hazard. At night oncoming traffic blinds the driver as the lights are raised due to the bumps. I am for removing all of them.
