Letter: Smokers are choking downtown Glendale

As a resident of Glendale, I am frustrated by the growing number of smokers clogging up our downtown city streets with their smoke. I understand our city ordinance is not comprehensive but it should be.

I enjoy the Americana and the Glendale Galleria because they do not allow smoking. But, if we truly want to make this city walkable and family friendly we cannot keep allowing the copious amount of smoking and smokers to ruin our streets and force secondhand smoke on the rest of us.

As our city grows, this is something we need to address. I have noticed this particularly in the downtown parts of Glendale around Brand Blvd.
