Finished 35-12, 21-8 in Pacific League before helping Falcons advance to CIF Southern Section Division III title match. Finished 11-2 in playoffs.

Spartans’ top doubles squad went 17-7 overall, 11-3 in league and reached quarterfinals in Rio Hondo League tournament. Went 3-3 in postseason.

Coach of the Year

In first season with Nitros and return to area tennis scene after an excellent run at Crescenta Valley, instantly turned around the program with his trademarks of competing and practicing hard. After program had missed playoffs the previous two seasons, Glendale took fourth place in the Pacific League before guiding the Nitros to a CIF Southern Section Division IV championship. Glendale, which went 17-6, defeated Rancho Mirage, 10-8, for not only the program’s first title but the first CIF championship for a girls’ team in Glendale High history.
