Crescenta Valley 18, Hoover 3: The host Falcons received three goals each from Kelsey Mittleman, Alex Garas, Kaitlyn Moguel and Katy Sayre on Tuesday to post a Pacific League victory.

The Falcons are 2-0 in league. Hoover dipped to 0-8, 0-3 in league.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

Crescenta Valley 63, Burroughs 56: Trey Ballard collected 17 points and Koko Kechichian added 13 on Tuesday to spark the visiting Falcons to a Pacific League victory.

The Falcons (12-6, 4-2 in league) got eight points from Journey Shank.

Pasadena 86, Glendale 51: Eli DeGrate finished with 18 points and Edrik Abnous-Masihi had 10 on Tuesday for the visiting Nitros in a Pacific League game. Glendale dipped to 9-10, 1-5 in league.

Arcadia 87, Hoover 62: Hoover dropped a Pacific League home contest Tuesday. The Tornadoes are 6-12, 0-6 in league.

New Covenant Academy 59, St. Monica Academy 40: The Crusaders (6-9) lost a nonleague home contest Tuesday at New Revelation Baptist Church in Pasadena.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Pasadena 58, Glendale 55: The host Nitros fell Tuesday in a Pacific League contest.

Sylvia Vartazarian finished with 28 points and nine rebounds for Glendale (13-8, 4-2 in league), which received eight points, six rebounds and four steals from Jillian Yanai.

Arcadia 72, Hoover 44: Hoover fell Tuesday in a Pacific League road game.

Hoover 6, Arcadia 1: The Tornadoes rolled to a Pacific League home victory Tuesday. Hoover (10-5-2, 3-3-1 in league) got two goals each from Jesus Rodriguez and Jonathan Hernandez and three assists and one goal from Romio Sislian.

Pasadena 1, Glendale 0: Glendale dropped to 5-5-3, 2-4-1 in the Pacific League with Friday’s road defeat.

Glendale 1, Pasadena 0: Ella Wasson scored in the 75th minute to lift host Glendale to a Pacific League victory Tuesday. The Nitros are 5-5-1, 3-3-1 in league.

Alemany 4, Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy 2: The Tologs lost their Mission League match Tuesday on the road and dropped to 7-3-1, 1-2 in league.

Arcadia 8, Hoover 0: The Tornadoes lost their Pacific League match on the road Tuesday afternoon and fell to 4-8, 2-5 in league in the process.
