Sports Roundup: Crescenta Valley volleyball loses in four to league champs

GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL

Arcadia 3, Crescenta Valley 1: Crescenta Valley lost, 25-15, 25-23, 14-25, 25-20, on Tuesday in its Pacific League finale to the league champion. The Falcons closed out the regular season 17-11, 10-4 for second place in league.

Chadwick 3, Flintridge Prep 0: The Rebels fell, 25-15, 25-17, 25-15 on Tuesday in a Prep League home match. Flintridge Prep 98-11, 4-8 in league) got 12 kills from Courtney Johnson.

On Monday in a nonleague match, visiting Flintridge Prep saw St. Genevieve register a 24-26, 25-11, 25-9, 25-27, 17-15 nonleague win. The Rebels got 10 kills from Johnson and nine from Jada Gritton.

Ramona Convent 3, Holy Family 1: The visiting Gaels closed out their season Monday after Ramona Convent recorded a 25-21, 28-26, 21-25, 25-20 Horizon League win. Holy Family (7-18, 3-7 in league) received 30 digs from Meghann Velasquez, 20 assists, nine digs and five aces from Melanie Ibarra and 10 kills and 17 digs from Katheryne Cuellar.

Providence 3, Glendale Adventist Academy 0: The Cougars dropped a 25-16, 25-21, 25-23 Liberty League road defeat Monday.

Harvard-Westlake 14, Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy 4: Flintridge Sacred Heart fell Monday in a Mission League match at Scholl Canyon Tennis Center. The Tologs are 3-12, 0-8 in league.

Galanto in Mission League individual finals: Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy’s Shanley Galanto shot a 16-over-par 88 to finish ninth Thursday at River Ridge Golf Club in Oxnard.

Victor Valley 1, Glendale Community College 0: In a battle for first place in the Western State Conference South Division, visiting Glendale fell. Tuesday. The Vaqueros dipped to 8-6-2, 3-1-1 in the division.

Santa Monica College 2, Glendale Community College 0: The Vaqueros lost a Western State Conference South Division road match Tuesday. Glendale fell to 2-8-4, 0-3-1 in the division.
