Glendale house fire causes $140,000 in damages, officials say
A house fire in Glendale on Sunday caused $100,000 in structural damage and $40,000 in damages to contents in the home, according to fire officials.
At 2:12 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to 2212 East Glenoaks Boulevard, where they found smoke coming from the rear of a single-story, single-family house, according to Glendale Fire spokeswoman Brandy Villanueva. The blaze was in a room addition at the rear of the main house.
Firefighters knocked down the fire in 22 minutes, Villanueva said. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
