Glendale man suspected of sexually assaulting Uber driver

A Glendale man is being accused of sexually assaulted an Uber driver early Saturday morning.

Sevada Bandari, 30, was arrested on suspicion of sexual battery after reportedly assaulting a 23-year-old woman driving for the ride-share service. The woman was driving Bandari from Studio City to a location in the 1300 block of Irving Avenue in Glendale at around 2 a.m.

Bandari allegedly groped the woman multiple times throughout the course of the trip despite being told to stop. She immediately called 911 after dropping the 30-year-old off at his destination.

Police apprehended him at a house on Irving Avenue and he subsequently posted bail.

Bandari is expected to appear in court Jan. 5.
