Clad in his festive Halloween sweater, Eli looks to be anticipating some tasty treats this season. And who could resist indulging this soft-coated bundle of canine affection?

Found last month as a stray, Eli quickly endeared himself to volunteers. He is thought to be a Lhasa Apso mix and weighs about 12 pounds, after a summer cut of his naturally long gray and white fur. Lhasas are known to be excellent companions, offering both entertainment and loyalty to loved ones.

The breed is generally quiet, exhibits medium levels of energy and behaves well around children and other pets. Eli is about 2 years old and healthy, following successful treatment of a skin condition. He was recently neutered, shows evidence of house-training and is a good canine citizen on his walks.
