More than 2,500 rubber ducks “raced” over the weekend at Huntington Beach Pier during the 24th annual Duck-a-Thon.

Altamed Health Services, a Huntington Beach healthcare agency for the uninsured and underinsured that puts on the annual event, raised $125,000 to fund its services.

Sandra Vega, clinic administrator for the agency, said the event typically raises about $130,000 each year for AltaMed. The event has raised more than $3 million over the years.
