DAR members gather for holiday luncheon

Share

Oakmont Country Club served as the venue when about 30 women, all either members or guests of the Don José Verdugo Chapter, National Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, gathered for the group’s annual holiday luncheon.

As history is of particular interest to the organization, the luncheon’s attendees enjoyed a program presented by Peter Rusch about the historical background of the Doctors House in Glendale’s Brand Park. Rusch is the assistant director of the museum centered around the house, a Queen Anne Victorian that was built on another street in 1888 and moved to its present location in the park in 1979 for preservation.
