La Cañada High marchers plan show Thursday night

La Cañada High School’s marching band will stage its 2016 field show, “Prayers and Mantras” Thursday evening at the school stadium. This is the final home performance of the show.

The event gets underway at 7:30 p.m. and the public is invited to see the Marching Spartans in action. Admission is free.

Senior Drum Major Justin Huynh will lead the band and color guard onto the field. The show will feature senior soloist Charlie Reynolds on tenor saxophone, with seniors Rei Chavez on baritone saxophone and Jordan Potts playing bass clarinet.

On Friday afternoon, the LCHS band will head to the Central Valley to compete in the Western Band Assn. Championships in Clovis.
