Pasadena Women’s Connection plans luncheon

The Pasadena Women’s Connection is planning a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, when the program’s topics include preparation for storms associated with the El Niño weather pattern and how to overcome difficult times.

The event will be held at the Women’s City Club, 160 N. Oakland Ave., Pasadena.

Lisa Derderian, who serves as public information officer for the Pasadena Fire Department will present storm preparation tips. Motivational speaker Diane Maxe will speak on the topic “When Life Throws You a Curve,” her message of triumph over depression, divorce, wayward teens and job discrimination.
