Letter: Community Center seeks donations to replace flood-damaged floor

There is a global event that makes people aware of Black Friday, then Cyber Monday and now Giving Tuesday – Dec 1. Here at the Community Center of La Cañada Flintridge we have joined this movement of Giving Tuesday. This is a great opportunity to give back to the community and for a cause. We hope you will join us and be a part of global celebration of a new tradition of generosity.

Here at CCLCF we have put out the Save the Date of Giving Tuesday in the past couple of weeks and now the time has come. We have the donation page on the front of our website. We are asking everyone we know to give what they can for our cause; a new floor that is needed in the main room that was heavily damaged from a storm we had back in July that flooded our entire building.

I know we can raise enough money for the floor if everyone can share our cause with their family and friends. Please share our website link www.cclcf.org through email, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Every donation matters. As you know we are a non-profit and all donations would be tax deductible.

I appreciate you all spreading the word. The donation page is live now and will be open through Wednesday night. The main room is the heart and soul of the Community Center, where infants to seniors enjoy music, dance, special events and so much more. Together we can make this happen. Thank you.
