Letter: LCHS administration may have an agenda

Re: “Teachers press for salary increase,” March 10. I am a La Cañada High School student and I wanted to inform you that by the looks of things around this campus it seems some of our administration is strategically trying to eliminate our culinary arts program. I have been a part of this for many years and it is unfortunate that future students might not be able to attend this class anymore.

The administration keeps eliminating one class a year and its reasoning for doing so is that no one is signing up. They continually remove that class from the registration and PowerPoint introductions they show to students and parents. It’s my opinion such actions will be the downfall of this school. It’s a real shame. Many of our teachers are fighting for a rise in their salary, while the administrative staff is highly paid. It’s a sad sight to see. Please let the community see the truth.
