Share

Jack DeZell, who joined the Italian Catholic Federation branch at St. Bede the Venerable Catholic Church just last year, has been named the branch’s president. In that role, he hopes to recruit young families into the branch and build a related youth organization.

DeZell is a State Farm Insurance broker with an office in South Pasadena. In the early 2000s, he served in Iraq with the U.S. Army. He and his wife Laura are the parents of a son, Macabe, who was born in 2016.

At a recent meeting of Branch 374, DeZell gifted his predecessor as president, Mark Mannarelli, with an engraved crystal decanter as a memento of his term in office.

The branch’s next meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 17 in the Parish Center at St. Bede, 215 Foothill Blvd., La Cañada. Catholics of any ethnic background who are interested in joining the group are welcome.
