Mailbag: Meanwhile in California

Share

We are lucky and blessed to have witnessed the most amazing presidential election in our lifetimes. No one has ever had to overcome a mountain of obstacles from an enemy press, rigged polls, unfriendly pundits, a billion dollars thrown against him and Benedict Republicans to come out of nowhere and win the presidency of the United States.

At least, this was the view of most who were salivating over the prospects of the anointment of Hillary Clinton. For the rest of us who happen to possess some common sense, this was not such a great upset. We saw the audiences that President-Elect Trump drew, we shared his overwhelming dominance on social media and were encouraged with what he was saying and doing. We knew middle America woke up and said we will remain silent no more.

I, for one, am so happy that all our so called “experts” ended up with omelets in their faces. The sad thing is that these fools are paid quite handsomely to make fools of themselves, then have the nerve to put their faces on TV to try and rationalize what went wrong. Remember, don’t believe these “experts” and don’t believe their polls. They have an agenda and are hustling that agenda. Vote your common sense and not the polls.

America won. On the other hand, Californians have not learned anything. We voted to raise taxes, sell some more bonds and further encumber our future with a runaway debt. We elected the same old tax and spend liberals to the Assembly and Senate. We voted for early releases of violent criminals and to legalize a mind-altering drug. Surely, California lost.
