Sports Roundup: Flintridge Sacred Heart volleyball completes comeback
GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL
Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy 3, Rancho Cucamonga 2: The Tologs rallied from a two-game deficit for a 20-25, 18-25, 25-16, 26-24, 15-13 nonleague victory Tuesday evening.
Kayla Lund finished with 24 kills, 19 assists and 11 digs, while Ellis DeJardin added 21 kills, 33 assists and 12 digs and Maddie Pernecky tallied 26 digs. The Tologs are now 2-0.
The Tologs opened the season Friday evening with a 25-11, 25-16, 25-17 win over crosstown rival La Cañada.
The Tologs received 16 kills, 10 assists, four aces and four blocks from Lund and 20 assists and nine kills from DeJardin.
Village Christian 3, La Cañada 0: It’s been a bumpy start to the year for the Spartans, who are yet to win a game.
La Cañada fell on the road Tuesday evening, 25-23, 25-23, 25-22, to drop to 0-2.
