1987 -- Kent Hrbek, without an RBI in11 straight games, delivered a game-winning single in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Minnesota Twins defeated the New York Yankees 2-1.
1992 -- Keith Gall had four hits to lead Circus-Wendy's-Busch to a 7-4 victory over Britton. The Aberdeen amateur baseball team improved to 31-2 on the season.
1997 -- Lonni Stover pitched a seven-hitter while Brent Osborn had four hits, including a triple and a home run, as Redfield Dairy Queen defeated Britton 7-0 in the first half of an amateur baseball doubleheader. Stover had three hits in the second game and Keith Gall and Justin Klitzke had five RBIs each as Redfield won 15-7.
2002 -- Mark Scheibach repeated as the champion of the Moccasin Creek Pro-Am golf tournament, defeating Gary Christian of Frisco, Texas, in a four-hole playoff. Scheibach, from Indian Wells, Calif., and Christian each had scores of 208 after regulation play. Chris Knight, with a score of 213, won the amateur division by two strokes over Steve Pelzl.
2007 -- Tyler Kolb pitched a perfect game and struck out a dozen batters to lead the Aberdeen 13-14 Teeners to a 5-0 win over Northville and a sweep of a doubleheader. Aberdeen won the first game 15-0 as Andrew Holmstrom pitched a one-hitter.
2011 -- Adam Suther clubbed a three-run homer during Britton's four-run third inning and the Lumberjacks held on for a 5-3 amateur baseball victory over Northville.
