1986 - The Aberdeen A's scored five runs in the top of the ninth inning to erase a two-run deficit and defeat Dahme Construction 12-9 to earn a berth in the state amateur baseball tournament.
1991 - Curt Fredrickson and Dan Stier combined to pitch a six-hitter and strike out 11 batters as Aberdeen Circus-Wendy's-Coke defeated Jamestown, N.D., 6-2 in amateur baseball.
1996 - Wally Steiner pitched a six-hitter and struck out 12 batters to lead Britton to a 10-7 amateur baseball victory over Warner in the District 2B playoffs. Marty Weismantel had four hits for Britton, Steiner added three, and Tom Durland and Doug Jorgensen had two each.
2001 - Marc Bulger tossed a three-yard touchdown pass to Jeff Robinson early in the fourth quarter to lift the St. Louis Rams to a 17-10 exhibition football victory over the Miami Dolphins.
2006 - Jason Bartlett led a 22-hit Minnesota attack going 5-for-5 at the plate and five Twins had two RBIs each in 11-5 triumph over Kansas City, giving Minnesota its first four-game sweep of the Royals at Kansas City in club history.
2010 - Brent Osborn scored on an error in the bottom of the 10th inning to lift Redfield Dairy Queen to an 11-10 victory over Salem in the first round of the State B amateur baseball tournament.
