AT THE PLATE: Adrian Gonzalez hit a three-run home run in the third inning to finish the season with 116 runs batted in, the most in the major leagues. Gonzalez finished five RBIs ahead of Mike Trout of the Angels. “It’s definitely something cool to be able to say you accomplished one year,” Gonzalez said. Gonzalez had never led the league in RBIs. Third baseman Juan Uribe, who managed the Dodgers in place of Don Mattingly, removed Gonzalez after the home run. Asked whether he was afraid Uribe might pinch-run for him after his first-inning double, Gonzalez jokingly said, “I would have run and tackled him in the middle of the game.” The home run was Gonzalez’s team-leading 27th. Matt Kemp hit a home run, his 25th. Carl Crawford was two for three to finish the season with a .300 average. Reserve outfielder Roger Bernadina hit a three-run home run and drove in a career-high four runs.

ON THE MOUND: Zack Greinke won his career-high 17th game by limiting the Rockies to a run and four hits over five innings. Yimi Garcia and Kenley Jansen each pitched a scoreless inning. Right-hander Chris Perez didn’t get into the game, costing him a significant bonus. Perez, who had a $3.8-million salary this year, would have received an additional $500,000 for appearing in his 50th game. Perez didn’t pitch in the final week of the season, even though he said he was “100% healthy.”

IN THE OWNER’S BOX: Dodgers minority owner Magic Johnson said he is confident the majority of area households will be able to watch Dodgers games on television next season. “I think we’re going to be on TV next season,” Johnson said Sunday. “I really do.” The Dodgers’ network, SportsNet LA, was unavailable in 70% of area households because Time Warner Cable was unable to reach a distribution agreement with DirecTV. Comcast is in the process of taking over TWC and AT&T is doing the same with DirecTV. Johnson thinks a deal can be struck once the mergers are completed. Johnson pointed to how fans responded when the Dodgers’ final six games were aired on KDOC. “They saw the response of the fans when they were on TV and how everybody tuned in to see the Dodgers,” Johnson said. Johnson said he reached out to DirecTV at one point. “I asked them, ‘Can we do anything to make this deal happen because our fans are suffering?’ ” Johnson said. “They felt they had a good proposal on the table. They did respond, so I give DirecTV credit.”
