Aberdeen Mayor Michael E. Bennett had a hard time picking just one favorite memory. But, like so many other O's fans, he settled on one that involves Cal Ripken Jr., who grew up in Aberdeen. It was a stunning catch Ripken made as shortstop in a 1983 series that brought the whole crowd to its feet. "He was from where I lived; he was a guy from my hometown who had done well," Bennett said. "It was exciting for a hometown boy to do so well."
