Dennis Pitta ruled out with concussion

Ravens tight end Dennis Pitta has been ruled out for the remainder of the game with a concussion, according to a team official.

Pitta left the game in the first quarter and returned to the locker room to be examined after being shaken up early in tonight's AFC North clash with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He was tackled by safety Ryan Clark and linebacker Lawrence Timmons.

Pitta was also shaken up during the Ravens' 55-20 victory over the Oakland Raiders and was examined for an injury, but returned and caught five passes for 67 yards with one touchdown.

For the season, Pitta has 38 receptions for 381 yards and three touchdowns. That includes one reception for five yards.

Meanwhile, Steelers running back Isaac Redman (Bowie State) left the game with a potential concussion and is being evaluated by trainers. His return is questionable.
