A bulwark on Maryland's mythic teams of the early 1950s, this All-America defensive tackle led the Terps to their only undefeated (10-0) season in 1951 -- and a Sugar Bowl victory over No. 1 Tennessee. Nicknamed "Little Mo" (older brother Ed, also on the team, was "Big Mo"), Modzelewski won the Outland Trophy as the nation's top college lineman and went on to play 14 years in the NFL.
