-- Outfielder L.J. Hoes, the Orioles' minor league player of the year, will return to instructional league in Sarasota following Sunday's game to prepare for playing in the Arizona Fall League.
-- Tonight is the anniversary of last year' Game 162 walkoff win over the Red Sox. Showalter's been asked the meaning of the win many times this season. Today he said, "I can't say it didn't help. It does. You create your own intensity."
