Quint Kessenich's early-season questions and answers
What else have we found out? Maryland's Niko Amato has solidified his spot as one of the best goalies in the nation, and Cornell's Rob Pannell is a Big Red machine.
But many questions remain. Will the Johns Hopkins midfield find its scoring touch? Can Loyola hang with the nation's best?
Less than a month into the season, here's a look at what we know — and what we don't:
Duke coach John Danowski( Gene Sweeney Jr, Baltimore Sun / May 31, 2010 )
Duke — Do not judge Duke based on a February or March loss. Coach John Danowski develops his team slowly with the vision of peaking in May.
Massachusetts — The Minutemen have earned impressive wins over Army, Bucknell and Ohio State, proving that they belong in the Top 10. Will Manny, Kyle Smith and Art Kell make up a dangerous and versatile attack group. Defender Tom Celentani is an anchor in the back end, and Anthony Biscardi is a playmaking midfielder. But let's wait before elevating UMass too high in the polls — remember, the Minutemen started 4-0 in 2011 but went 2-3 in March.
