Brown was replaced on the practice squad by D.J. Bryant, an outside linebacker from James Madison who graduated from Randallstown High.
Bryant was a three-year starter at Randallstown and was twice named all-county at defensive end and wide receiver. He was the Most Valuable Player of the Baltimore City-Baltimore County All-Star game, catching 45 passes for 890 yards and 15 touchdowns as a senior. He recorded 12 1/2 sacks as a junior and also excelled at basketball.
At JMU, Bryant was a first-team All-Colonial Athletic Association defensive end.
