The Ravens announced that Pro Bowl outside linebacker Terrell Suggs is practicing today and has been activated from the physically unable to perform list, as reported previously by The Baltimore Sun.
The Ravens will determine the level of his activity based on how he feels after testing it out.
The NFL Defensive Player of the Year is coming off a partially torn Achilles tendon.
"Terrell Suggs is going to practice today," Ravens coach John Harbaugh said. "He was out there in the walkthrough. To what extent, what he's able to do, he's coming off a very serious injury. This is the first thing he's been allowed to do.
"I think he's worked really hard. He's done a great job of rehab. He's had no setbacks during the whole deal. That's a credit to him, a credit to our doctors and a credit to our trainers."
Meanwhile, the Ravens signed inside linebacker Josh Bynes to the active roster from the practice squad. They also signed cornerback Jordan Maybin and linebacker Nigel Carr to the practice squad.
Maybin and Carr are undrafted rookies who were with the Ravens in training camp, but were released prior to the regular season.
On Tuesday, the Ravens placed cornerback Lardarius Webb on injured reserve and promoted rookie running back Bobby Rainey to the active roster from the practice squad.Copyright © 2015, Los Angeles Times
