Tickets will first be available to season ticket holders between 10 a.m. and noon at a discount rate applicable only during that time window. Between noon and 2 p.m., tie-breaker tickets will become available to fans in the MASN viewing area, which includes Maryland, Virginia, Washington and parts of North Carolina, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. This regional sale is an attempt to pack the stadium with Orioles fans rather than make the tickets available to buyers in the New York area.
Full and 29-game season-ticket holders already had a chance to buy tickets for the potential game if they bought an overall postseason package.
If the Orioles, tied with the Yankees for the American League East lead with three games to go, should lose a tie-breaker Thursday, they would then face a wild card showdown on Friday. That game could be in Baltimore, Oakland or Arlington, Texas.
