160. Wilbert Robinson, baseball

The doughy catcher captained the 19th century Orioles, who won three straight NL pennants (1894 through 1896). Robinson collected seven hits in a nine-inning game, still a big league record. The first catcher to crouch directly behind hitters, he once caught a triple-header -- one month after having the tip of his index finger amputated. A Hall of Famer, he is said to have invented duckpin bowling in Baltimore.
