POWER PLAYERS

Share

Everybody knows that the Lakers attract a slew of Hollywood stars: Jack Nicholson, Dyan Cannon, Denzel Washington and more. But lots of other L.A. power brokers can be found courtside--where a ticket fetches $2,200 per game--and filling other choice seats (and that’s not counting the luxury suites occupied by corporate bigwigs and select individuals, such as billionaire A. Jerrold Perenchio). “The hard and fast rule at Staples,” says TV producer Steven Bochco, is that “no one above floor-seat level is allowed to talk business at any time; anyone on the floor level has to talk business at all times.”
